Cerro Advantage Press™ Tube is an engineered product that combines the reliability of Cerro copper tube with the ease of press fit technology. It installs twice as fast as traditional copper tube and press fittings as you can see in the video below.

Cerro Advantage Press™ Tube is the only copper tube specifically engineered for copper press systems, making it a natural extension for contractors currently using press technology. Our patented (Patent No.: US 7,942,456 & US 7,987,690) 'bell and spigot' design features an integral press end, complete with a built-in stop.

The other end of the tube is factory finished to eliminate the need for on-site tube preparation. These labor-saving features allow contractors to cut installation time in half.

In addition, the perfectly deburred end mitigates the risk of o-ring damage when the next length of tube is inserted.

The ‘perfect-fit’ design addresses the issue of tube and fitting misalignment, which often results in deflection/warping. This significant benefit minimizes the contractor’s installation time and results in straighter runs and a more professional appearance. Cerro Advantage Press™ Tube can be installed wherever copper press systems are used — with the same commercially available press tools contractors already use to install press fittings. The 100% made in USA product is currently available in 1/2" through 2" sizes, and in standard 10 foot and 20 foot pieces. Special lengths are available on request.

Contractors all across the country who were using copper press fittings are now able to “Press Home the Advantage™” and enjoy a number of great benefits:

  • Installs twice as fast
  • Perfect-fit design with superior alignment and reduced deflection
  • Built-in stop for faster, easier installation
  • Reduction in pressing points, resulting in a more seamless system
  • A more professional appearance

Copper tube (Alloy C12200) has been evaluated by NSF to NSF/ANSI 61 for use in drinking water supplies of pH 6.5 and above. Drinking water supplies that are less than pH 6.5 may require corrosion control to limit leaching of copper into the drinking water.
